Session Topic: Student Organization Advisor Training: Roles, functions, and responsibilities of being an advisor for a student org
Student Activities and Involvement invites student organization advisors & those interested in advising to learn more about the roles, functions, and responsibilities of serving as an advisor for UF’s student organizations in this upcoming ENGAGE Web Series: Advisor Training. With over 900 student groups registered on campus and over 4,000 annual events, student organizations and their advisors serve a vital role to creating a signature student experience at the University of Florida.
In this session, we’ll explore the expectations and responsibilities of serving as an advisor, cover key university policies and provide best practices in supporting our student groups on campus, while offering an opportunity to engage with us in a Q & A at the end. This session is presented by Solange Douglas, Assistant Director for Student Organizations and Andrea Drausal, Program Coordinator from Student Activities and Involvement.
