Involvement Opportunities

Group Involvement Consultations (GICs)

The Student Engagement Ambassadors are excited to host Group Involvement Consultations! Group Involvement Consultations are a collaborative way to help you discover ways to get involved at UF! These consultations are designed for small groups of students who are looking for guidance to navigate their involvement journey.

During Group Involvement Consultations, you'll:

  • Receive a resource guide highlighting campus involvement opportunities including student organizations, student employment opportunities, a mentorship program, upcoming events, and more!
  • Learn how to effectively use GatorConnect to explore student organizations and their upcoming events!
  • Build a personalized list of student organizations and other involvement opportunities that match your interests!

Individual Involvement Consultations (IICs)

With over 1,000 student organizations and many campus opportunities to explore, the Student Engagement Ambassadors will connect 1:1 with you for 30 minutes to help you navigate your involvement journey! Individual Involvement Consultations are a casual conversation that allows the ambassadors to learn more about your interests, passions, and hobbies to develop an action plan for you to utilize as you explore opportunities to become involved on campus.

Student Organization Fairs

Each semester the Office of Community & Belonging hosts Student Organization Fairs, where numerous organizations come out and connect students to new opportunities or events, provide information about membership, and are open to everyone! Student Organizations also showcase their various achievements, creativity, and talent.

Our Spring 2026 Student Organization Fair will be on Tuesday, January 13 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on the Reitz Union North Lawn.

Please follow @ufstudentengage for more details and updates about the spring student organization fair.

Involvement Quiz

You may have heard that getting involved is the best way to make connections, extend your education outside of the classroom, and most importantly have fun at UF! And we couldn’t agree more. We like to think of engagement as purposeful involvement and it comes in a variety of forms. It could be joining an organization that matters to you, your community, or your future career. Or possibly participating in a one-time or weekly event. It could even be getting a job on campus. Being actively engaged is essential to your experience at UF.

It makes your unique experience exactly that, yours.

There are numerous ways to be engaged on campus, and we want to help. If you are interested in a student organization, take our involvement quiz below. This will help narrow down your search and provide suggestions to find your place on campus.

Try something new

Looking for something a little different? Try one of these opportunities. They vary in the level of time commitment from drop in activity, to weekly event, to finding something that is meaningful to you.
