It's time to define our relationship.
Beginning July 1, 2022, UF has a new classification framework for all student organizations identified as part of the student organization registration process.
This frame will place organizations into one of two categories: General or University-Sponsored.
Defining the relationship between our student organizations and the university allows us to have a stronger understanding of the funding you need, possible laws that would apply to your organization and ultimately ensure organizations get the maximum support balanced with autonomy.
Frequently asked Questions
Students, student organizations and in some instances student organization advisors may not enter into legal agreements on behalf of the University of Florida. Effective September 2, 2022, Student Activities and Involvement will no longer manage the signing of SG-funded contracts. If you are classified as a General Registered Student Organization (GRSO), you may utilize Student Legal Services for most non-UF related legal matters, including the review of your event/performance contracts and service agreements.
