Re-Registration

In order to maintain an active status and retain all of the benefits of a registered student organization all student organizations are required to re-register each fall semester.

Note: Re-Registration for student organizations is bi-annually on July 1 and December 1. Check GatorConnect for additional details.

Registration Steps for Returning Student Organizations

Follow all steps mentioned below for successful registration!

Step 1

Submit Registration Information through GatorConnect

  • Log into GatorConnect
    • Follow the link and click the blue “Sign In” button at the top right of the screen
  • On the left side of the screen, after logging in, click the “Orgs” button
  • Under Organizations, click “Register an Organization”

Step 2

  • After clicking “Register an Organization” you’ll have the option to re-register your organization OR register a new organization.
  • When registering your new organization, you will need to select if it is a General Registered Student Org (GRSO) or a University Sponsored and Affiliate Student Org (USSO).
  • Please remember these requirements for forming a student organization:
    • Must have 4 executive board members (President, Vice President, Treasurer, 4th Exec)
    • Must have an advisor (USSO) only. It is important to note that GRSO may have an advisor, but are no longer required

Step 3

Ensure the Advisor Verification Form is submitted by the listed eligible Advisor prior to the registration deadline.

Step 4

Ensure your registration information is correct and up-to-date. Be sure to review all student organization and event policies for the year. Should you have questions, be sure to connect with an Advisor within the Office of Community & Belonging.

Check GatorConnect frequently for registration updates and messages. It is your responsibility to follow up with your Organization Advisor regarding the Advisor Verification Form.
